Opening Session: 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 10th
My Journey began on the Caribbean island of Grenada, where I was born and raise until the age of 13 when I left for Maryland. In high school, I always had a passion for science and got involved in many extracurricular activities involving STEM programs. I earned a B.S from UMCP in Cell and Molecular Biology , then took a nontraditional route to medical school. I first worked in a BioScience company for two years and completed a post-baccalaureate program before matriculating into medical school at The Ohio State University.
I am currently a Medical Oncologist and Hematologist in Columbus OH. Which means that I am a blood and cancer doctor. My passion is working toward decreasing cancer health disparities and improving outcomes for all.
I am a Christian woman, wife and mother to a beautiful 4 year old girl.
