The Academic Achievement Programs currently offers three categories of tutoring. Please read below to determine which type of tutoring best suits your needs.
AAP Tutoring is available to those students who have been accepted to the Academic Achievement Programs through the Summer Transitional Program at the University of Maryland. Students are provided with academic support for a variety of 100- and 200-level general education courses, meeting for one hour per week with a trained tutor.
Academic Success and Tutorial Services (ASTS) tutoring is available to all UM undergraduates in need of academic support in some of the university's most challenging courses. Peer tutoring is provided in one-on-one and small-group settings for courses in accounting, biology, chemistry, computer science, economics, mathematics, psychology, and statistics. Net Tutor is AAP's online tutoring partner, with professional tutors providing academic support through live tutoring available 24/7 for mathematics and English, and during peak studying hours for other content areas. Click on the "Net Tutor" tab to learn more!
